Happy Anniversary and a cruise

I wish I had some way to pack everyone in my suitcase and take them with me. BUT, this is my long awaited anniversary cruise.

When our 5th anniversary rolled around, I was pregnant and too far along to do anything. We couldn't go anywhere. If you know us, you know we love to travel. So this was hard on us (me). So now, 2 years later, I'm getting my long awaited 5 year anniversary cruise - and a 7th anniversary cruise.
And Nick gets to go!

I hope I'm able to continue spoling him with the cool trips just like my grandparents spoiled me! So, we'll be on a cruise to Alaska from the 27th to the 11th of May. Yeah!

Round trip cruise means no flying! No airports, no fees, no taking my shoes off, no scanners and no smelly people in the next seat. I'm a bad flyer - I need ativan to get through a flight! I'm taking the laptop and of course the camera so look for some pictures while I'm gone. I also set up a bunch of posts with layouts and other projects I've been working on the last few weeks.

See below for the first few posts and look for more over the next 2 weeks!

Off to Alaska!

Happy Anniversary Bryan!

Banner using Sassafras Bungle Jungle papers

Here I used the new Bungle Jungle paper line from Sassafras! I couldn't wait for them to release the chipboard embellishments that coordinate with this line so I cut elements from the papers and Paper Whimsies.
Of course, the chipboard is now available so I might have to change some things!
For the banner portion, I used the Maya Road chipboard banner sheet. Its precut and comes with all kinds of precut chipboard embellishments to make a cute mini or a banner. I chose the banner.
Chipboard was painted prior to covering with paper. I cut the paper slightly smaller than the banner so that the painted edges would show. The edges are backed with the scalloped velvet ribbon from Cosmo Cricket. I love this ribbon and own several yards in all colors available. I told them at CHA they needed to keep making this awesome ribbon!
I borrowed a friends diecut machine to make the letters but you can always use chipboard letters. I was testing out the machine to see if I 'needed one'. I do. :)

Wooden Basket

I picked up a bunch of wooden items in the $1 bin at Michaels the last time I was there. Started altering them using scraps of papers and various embellishments.
This was made for my grandmother for Mothers Day. She's a knitter so I thought a cute little thing to put her needles and scissors in and keep by her chair would be the perfect gift for someone who has everything!

Nick in New York

I get these random photos of my son from my cousin.  I'm wondering if I made the right decision to let him fly back there.....
Yes, thats my son in a dress.  Complete with matching purse and jewelry.

And that yummy goodness he's eating is a Breakfast Special.  Its one of the many reasons I like to visit New York.

Fixed.

My little PC issue has been fixed.  Very glad.  Just trying to learn some new things.  Big learning curve.  This week is dedicated to blog posts containing pictures of the kid and projects.  Without a healthy PC, I found I was more creative.

These are from the SD Zoo.  We took Nick there last month and I wasn't expecting him to be as excited as he was about the animals.
