Memorable moments....

An old friend of the family got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today. If anyone knows Stu Nahan, you know he's a total celebrity out here. For those of you who don't know him, he's been on the sports scene forever. He's a huge hockey fan (Kings fan), baseball fan etc. He's done radio and TV for so many years that he just knows EVERYONE! He's done movies (he's the announcer in the Rocky movies, Fast Times at Ridgemont High and more).

I love to read his little one page update in the Kings programs 'Stu Says' just to see what Stu will say about my team. He pretty much calls it like it is.

So, today, he got a star. We hiked up to Hollywood to see the ceremony which was very well done. Luc Robitaille was there. Pat Sajak was there. A lot of people were there to honor Stu.

I took this opportunity to get some contract negotiations in for the kid. Flash forward to 2026, I can hear it now......

"With their first round pick in the 2026 draft, the Los Angeles Kings chose..... (first name???) Weinstock." Thats right. My little hockey player drafted in 2026. :) I couldn't help myself.

Lots of funny stories and good memories.

Almost ready....

For the new addition.

I added a few more clothes to his closet this week. I've been shopping. Love to buy little clothes for the little boy. And one of the Design Team girls sent me a package with a cute sleeper, hat and more! Too cute. Thank you Emeline!

So, the furniture is now done. My FIL is in town and helped my husband put the last piece together this morning. Finally nice to have the room almost ready. I washed the sheets and made the bed this morning. Everything is put away from the shower. Now we just need to get some of those last minute things on the registry and we play the waiting game until July.

Mothers Day

I celebrated my first Mothers Day. Not technically. Next year will be my first REAL Mothers Day. Can't wait.

I threw together some last minute cards using the new Amy Butler line from K&Co. Love these papers.

The nursery is painted....

and now we need the furniture. Should be here Monday. Can't wait to see what it looks like all put together.

My parents came over today and painted the room. My mom put the border up. Very cute. We went with Dunn Edwards paint. The color was 'Wasabe'. I just like saying it. Border is part of the Aloha Baby line from Lambs & Ivy. We even found a surfboard height chart that matches the set.

The verdict is in.....

..its a boy. Had the big Ultrasound yesterday and both the US Tech and my doctor both said it was clear as day. I can kind of see it, but these US pics are so blurry you just never know. Trust the experts I guess.

So here he is! I'm off to scrap this....

Photo sharing

So I was going through a bunch of my photos today and getting ready to place an order HERE when I found this gem from a couple of weeks ago.

Rascal at his finest. We had some cold weather here in CA - by cold, I mean in the 50's during the day. Thats cold here SoCal. On some mornings during this cold spell, I couldn't get the dog out of bed. He tends to burrow under the covers at night and well, we just leave him there. He's happy, we're happy (he makes a nice bed warmer by the way).

So one morning, I went in to check on him and I couldn't find him. Sometime after I'd gotten up, he'd burrowed so far under the covers he was hidden. So, after a quick panic and calling out his name - this is what I saw.

Happy tonight.

What makes me happy? A Kings win. (Sorry for all the Ducks fans out there.) Yep, we won. We beat them. Barely, but we beat them. And we did it without Kopitar.
Mom and I had Chairmans Passes tonight. Didn't bring the camera, but I will next time. Just had to scope it out this time.
So, because the Kings won, I came home all jazzed and ordered more product!
Won't say what yet, but I placed some orders.
Dontcha just love it when the Kings win?
I do.
