More favorites from CHA

So, I totally have a hard time when I see everything in person. I have to have one of everything.  In my first  Blog Hop post, I shared a few of the items I was looking forward to getting my hands on.

Well, here are a few more!
October Afternoon - all 3 lines (btw, they brought back the rubber charms.  SO cute!)

Basic Grey (For the rosettte challenged like myself)
Crate Paper Portrait (love, love, love)

Fancy Pants Artist Collection (I went a little crazy in this booth so if you love Fancy Pants, join me in my celebration)
More tiny alphas from Sass....

And have I mentioned that Hambly has WASHI TAPE now???

And let me tell you....I'm exhausted!  Walking the show floor for 4 days is exhausting.  Well, I was pretty much done after the first day.  Its so overwhelming to see everything and everyone AND try to make it around to see everything on the first day.

I have a stack of catalogs waiting for me to go through them and upload to the store.  Now the fun begins.

Watching it all arrive....

I have one more gift certificate to give away.  Leave a comment and tell me what your shopping strategy is.  Do you buy for a layout?  Buy the entire line? Mix and Match?

Comments close at midnight Tuesday 2/1/11.  I'll draw all 3 winners then.

Good luck!

Fashionably late

That's me.  This is the 4th year I've attempted a December Daily.  I do not work the same way Ali does in that I can't pre-make my album.  I always put it together as I go pulling pieces from my extensive holiday (and non-holiday) stash.

This year was no different.  Except, our sister site (Stash to Treasure) put out a kit and class that was a December Daily.

With the holidays and the store being extremely busy, my December Daily sat.  I had the cover and Day 1 completed.

I made a promise to myself this year that I would finish.  For the past 3 years I've started and then dropped the project getting as far as Day 11 one year.  Instead of trashing another half finished project, I am determined to finish.  Its like a resolution.

I saw January slipping away from me and no time to scrap.  Until.....the rain came.  2 weeks it rained.  And then the warehouse leaked.  This required a lot of rearranging on our part to keep the orders flowing through the system.  I also couldn't work during the day while construction was going on.  That pretty much left a lot of hours to scrap.

With a long list of layouts and card ideas in my mind, I turned to the December Daily.  I *will* finish this thing.

So here are days 1-14.  I'm slapping myself on the back for reaching a new point in this adventure.  Day 15 has been started and day 16-19 are planned.

Cover (used stitching templates from Kinsey Wilsons Etsy Shop)

Day 1 - Christmas Card photo (October Afternoon paper, Elles Studio tag, Shabby Chic Crafts Tag, Jillibean Soup tag, Jillibean Soup Christmas Chestnut Soup paper, Making Memories Bling)
I card our card in two.

Day 2 - putting up the tree (Making Memories papers, Shabby Chic Crafts tags, Maya Road Kraft envelopes....)

Day 3 - Elf Yourself.

Day 4 & 5 - Elf on the Shelf and lights on the tree

Day 6 - Disneyland!

Day 7 - My one cool page.  I used a Starbucks coffee cup for the pictures of our drinks.
I added some detailed snowflakes on the front to enhance the ones already on the cup.

Day 8 - Santa

Day 9 - Christmas movies
Day 10 & 11 - Disney again (Having a pass is awesome!)

Day 12 & 13 more Disney
Day 14 Snow at Disneyland

Todays chance to win.  Leave a comment and tell me if you did a December Daily or other holiday recap project.  Link them up if you have then on your blogs or galleries somewhere!

Winners will be picked on Tuesday!

Blog Hoppin!

Welcome!  This is the second stop on the CHA Blog Hop.

With CHA just HOURS away I'm gearing up to make the drive to LA to see all of the new products.  I spend a lot of time in the same area as CHA for hockey games so this is 'my' town.  I love LA!

I also LOVE some of the new products debuting this weekend and cannot wait to get my hands on some of them.  Some of them have already been added to the store under the Pre-Order section because I just couldn't wait!

So what do I love?

Echo Park - this company hits it out of the 'park' with every line they release.  With monthly releases, it keeps fresh product coming in all the time.

I've got to have their latest line For the Record

And some of this embossed cardstock from Coredinations.

And pretty much everything from Maya Road.

And um, one of everything from Studio Calico....

These are just a few of the items I can't wait to get my hands on this Spring.

Leave me a comment here letting me know which lines or products you're looking forward to getting.  I'll pick a winner on Tuesday.  You'll get $10 Stash Cash to spend in the store!

Make sure you stop by the other blogs this week as well.  We all have 3 $10.00 Gift Certificates to give away.  Thats 27 chances to win!

Remember my current obsession...

with Washi Tape?

yeah, well it just got worse.

I organized them in this cute drawer insert I got at Ikea for $3.00.  I might need another one.

Hambly just announced......

Since I can't fill orders OR work on the computer during the day due to construction in the warehouse, I'm finding myself organizing things that have gotten out of hand.

1. Photos
2. Washi Tape
3. Ink pads

I'll be posting later on that.

I can hear the crickets chirping.....

So here is a little post.

I'm in love with this BLOG.

Posting peoples spaces.

And organizing.  I'm all about it right now.

So I'm following along HERE and HERE.

In the midst of all the construction on the warehouse, I'm finding time to scrap.  Well, I can't do much in the way of filling orders and there is only so much paperwork to be done....

So I thought I'd scrap.

I have some December Daily to share with you this week.  I know.  But I promised myself I would finish it.  And I will.

I'm here~

just spending a lot of time filling orders these days.  Finding it harder to keep up but I'm managing somehow.

And I'm getting ready for CHA.  I love this time of the year.

Been updating the CHA Gallery here.

Just added several hundred more images.  Lots of sneakage going on.  Very excited to see it in person and actually spend the money I've been saving.

And then there's this little venture....

I might get to create at some point in the near future.  It might be one of those 'clear a space, I'm going to scrap' moments at 1 am.

Projects

Working late is never a good thing, unless you're so inspired by products in the warehouse that you break down and scrap.
This month, we are sponsoring Color Combos Galore.  I always have a hard time working with a given palette but maybe that because they are hardly every colors I would use.  Last week was a pink palette.  This week its oranges and greens.  More my style.

I pulled some random stuff from my stash in orange and green and started putting this together.
And I used my washi tape.  See, I told you I'd force myself to use it!

Visit Color Combos Galore to see more on Palette 175.

And a card I made for a friend.  Had to wait a few days to post it so she got it in the mail.

More washi tape.

What are you doing for National Scrapbook Day?

I'm going to be cropping.

22 hours of cropping to be exact.

My friend Laurie at Angel Scrappers has a fantastic venue where we meet once a month.  6 foot tables ALL to yourself.  Lots of light, onsite shopping and MORE!

So I took the plunge.  Stores are just not having events like they used too and since there are not many stores left in this area, I took matters into my own hands.

I teamed up with Laurie to bring this awesome crop to everyone!  Its centrally located for LA, OC and the IE.

For $50 you get 2 full days of cropping, a 6 foot table, 4 meals, prizes, contests, Vendor Fair and more!

I've started a Facebook Page where you can follow the crop details.  We'll be adding vendors to the Vendor Faire list as they sign up.

If you live in or around So Cal and want to join me check out the Facebook page for more details!

Official flyer coming soon!

You can't make this stuff up.....

I can't remember where I first saw this book, probably in one of my 25 or so parenting/family related magazines each month.

I'm always tearing pages out....
Anyway, I finally ordered it.  Kind of a Christmas present to myself.

I should have had this from the moment Nick could talk because there are always zingers flying out of his mouth.  You try to record them in scrapbooks but there have been so many that I know I'm forgetting some.

This book is going to be my quote diary.  Something I can hand him when he's an adult and laugh while he asks 'did I really say that?!?!'

Here's one from 1/10/11

We were playing with big boy legos not Duplos.  He was fascinated with all of the cool things you can do with the regular legos.  Duplos are so boring.

We're talking about a set like this:

I can't find my exact one on their site but its a yellow and black house.  Same concept.
Anyway, he was fascinated with all of the cool features, like the BBQ and the mailbox.
I started discussing with him the opportunities if he was good with his toys.  Maybe we could give Bodhi his Duplos and he can play with my legos.

I have about 8 buckets full of blocks just waiting until he's old enough.

He was very excited and played nice with the Lego house.

So I asked him if he wanted to give Bodhi the Duplos and move to the big boy blocks.

Nick: Yes.  We can give Bodhi the baby blocks.
Me: Thats so nice of you.
Nick: Can we drive up there now and give them to him?
Me: No, but we'll see him in a few weeks when Aunt Annette comes in from Germany
Nick: I want to go to Germamy.

My little traveler.

PS.. Daddy, if you're reading this, mommy really wants this house.  Or even this one.

Night with the Kings

January 3rd vs. Chicago

On the ride up.
Forgive the crooked picture but I was turned around in the front seat trying to take this out the side window on the opposite side of the car.

Downtown LA.
Kings Laser Intro

Opening Faceoff
Kings goal - that red light of shame never gets old.

Wasn't the score I wanted to see but they put up a good fight.
