I think its time for a little giveaway.
I've got a box of stuff to giveaway. Some exclusive items from kits. Stickers. Just pulled a bunch of stuff out of my donate/sell pile.
Leave a comment for a chance to win the goodie box. I'll pick a winner on Saturday 2/25.
Tell me what your favorite scrapbook company is - all time favorite. Mine would be Scenic Route.
And now some creative stuff.
I took N to see grandpa up in Calgary last July and we took a drive up to Lake Louise and Banff. He was being a little turd and wouldn't pose for any pictures. I finally grabbed him and my dad snapped this photo of us in front of Lake Louise. Looking back through my pictures I realize I'm just not in enough of them. We take a lot of trips - big and small - and I have maybe one of me in a set of 500. I'm making more of an effort to get in the shots now.
About a month after we got home, my grandmother was going through her old photos looking for something and came across this one. I ran into my room and grabbed the photo of N and I. Same shot - 56 years later. Thats my grandmother holding my mom in front of Lake Louise.
This was made with the January Studio Calico kit - Daydream Believer. It had a lot of the Dear Lizzy new release in it - not one of my favorite lines but all the right pieces for me. I cut up the paper with numbers on it. Heart punch had knotted burlap string.
great job!! this kit looks awesome!
ReplyDeletemy favorite all time company--hard decision--i guess jillibean soup but there are sooo many that i love!!
I love the 2 photos together. Great idea. I like your hearts on the 2nd layout. As far as my favorite paper company I would say Echo Park is one of my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI love the little hearts on this and the number points bulletin points journaling. Love Penny Scrap-aholic@blogspot.com P.S. I am a new follower and I'd be honored if you'd follow me!
ReplyDeletethose are some great LO's! The little hearts are great! I am a new scrapper, but I LOVE pink paislee. Thks for the chance to win :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite has always been American Crafts. I ADORE them. P.S. Your layouts looks great.
ReplyDeleteOnly since last year i love fancy pants. Also glitz is one of my favourites and scenic route was one as well. I still have some leftovers from them and i love to create cards with those.
ReplyDeleteLove the then and now photos. It is great to see you scrapping. I know so many LSS owners that were burnt out and never got back into it so I'm glad you're still creating. As for my favorite scrapbook company? It is so difficult to choose just one, but I'll throw Junkitz out there. I'm still hoarding some of their paper and embellies.
ReplyDeleteI love the layouts, especially the first one because of the older photo you included.
ReplyDeleteAll time favorite paper, wow that is hard. I have so many that I love for different reasons, I actually wrote a blog post about it too after a friend challenged me. I'm going to say Basic Grey based on the amount of their paper I have. Echo Park would be a close second.
Those photos are so precious! Love your layouts! Great job!
ReplyDeleteYour layouts are lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove that your grandmother had that photo, so cool.
I have been to Banff, but never made it to Lake Louis. I know it is gorgeous.
Oh my favourite scrapbooking company. This is a hard one for me as I really don't pay attention to who makes what, But I do love Graphic 45.
Great layouts! My favorite manufacturer is usually whoever's collection is on my desk. Right now that would be Crate!
ReplyDeleteAdorable layouts! Very inspiring.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun giveaway, too. ;)
My favorite companies? Authentique, American Crafts, Echo Park, October Afternoon. The list could go on forever!
Super cute layout! Love the colors! :)
ReplyDeleteFavorite company of all time...it's a tough choice, but I'd have to go with October Afternoon.
I do love goodies and great pages.
ReplyDeleteFavorite companies - OA and SC
cute layouts!
ReplyDeleteahh it's so hard to pick one favorite company of all time. I'm going to have to go with American Crafts. They have made lots and lots of great lines, and I definitely have a Thicker addiction!
My all time fav company might be MME. But, OA, and scenic route would be pretty close contenders. So hard to pick!
ReplyDeleteI really like both these LOs but I adore the story the 2 photos in the first LO tells :)
