So glad.....

I can finally share something crafty.  I know this blog has been pretty much hockey related for the past few weeks but this is also the first time in 19 years that the Kings have played in JUNE!  And the first time in their 45 year history that they've won the Stanley Cup.  That's huge.  I devoted a lot of my time to cheering them on, making cupcakes and worrying about the next game.

But, I'm now free to enjoy the rest of the summer.  In years past, its devoted to the changes the team would make to become better - and then have them fail the next season.  This summer, I have no worries.

All that means I have some pent up crafty energy that I gladly released this weekend!

Here is just the first little bit.......

A layout.....
Using the Echo Park a Boys Life paper line
A Silhouette shape, twine and flair.
Epiphany Crafts star tool, SC Veneer stars and twine.....
Those OA mini market stickers are awesome!

And a couple of cards.....

Both cards are made with Echo Park Note to Self papers and stickers.  The veneer men are from Studio Calico and the brown string is the burlap string from the Stringery.

Today I will be heading up to Venice Beach to get my *first* and only tattoo.  I made a pact with myself 19 years ago and everything just fell into place this summer.  For whatever reason, I've decided to do this and with the impending birthday looming over my head......

So I'm heading up to House of Ink to make it happen.  I *still* can't believe I'm doing this!

Your cards are great. I'm inspired to make a few cards to have on hand for emergencies.

  8. The first thing I want to say is "ouch". I have an aversion to needles so I'm pretty sure a tat is an experience I'll never have, but good luck with yours! Hope it's exactly what you want. That page is totally cute. Adorable photo and I love the long title. :)
