Finally ready to share

I normally hop back into the normal routine after vacation but not this time.  Its been a  while since we've done an extended road trip like this.  I'm used to flying somewhere and coming home in a rush.  This time we took our time getting home and we 'stopped to smell the roses' along the way.

I took a little bag of supplies with me including my little Selphy printer.  Each night when we got back to the hotel, I printed out some pictures from the day and kept a little pile going.  I used the 2-up option for N's book and the 4-up option for my book.

I finished N's book last week and finally got some time to put the finishing touches on my book this week.  I'll share mine later but here is N's.  He took it to school today for share day and he's so proud - his first scrapbook!  I glued in the photos and he added the stickers.  I used an old (and I mean old!) Donna Downey tag album from a QVC kit.  Circa 2006 maybe?

Amy Tan washi tape, OA Stickers and Maya Rd chipboard car covered
with new Bella Blvd washi!
I grabbed a sticker from the cheese factory we stopped at on Hwy 99.
Lots of fun stuff to see at this roadside stop.  They had a 4 story
treehouse that N and I climbed.
A couple of interactive pieces on this page.  I wanted to
add as many of the shots from this place without taking up
too many pages of the album so I added washi tape to the front
and back of the photos and made them flippable.

More washi tape, OA label stickers and some Mrs. Grossmans
I picked up at the gift shop in the park.  Each National Park has
a stamp in the visitor center to stamp your passport.  I stamped a
free postcard with the stamp to add to the book.
 OA stickers and AC Thickers
More washi tape and OA labels
OA stickers, MME tag and the bus route from the park.
I love this washi and need about 4 more rolls!  More OA
stickers, Mrs. Grossmans and a sticker from the park.
OA stickers and the Jr. Ranger Badge
 Mrs. Grossmans and OA stickers

One of our favorite things to do is buy the pressed pennies
wherever we go.  N has a couple of books full of them already.
In this instance, since we had two books and Project Life
to satisfy, we went ahead and got 2-3 designs for each location
we hit.  One for this mini and/or his collectors book and one for our
book and/or Project Life.  I also included the Aquarium Map.
Fish stickers are from a sheet I purchased at the Aquarium Gift Shop.

Thanks to the awesome class I took last fall, I know how to use
the AV setting on my camera.  I got some amazing shots at the
Aquarium.

I included the park info and map in the back of the book as well.
There are some great shots of the park, the animals etc.
The back inside cover - I glued a Maya Rd Kraft envelope to hold
the post cards we picked up along the way.

I used an Amy Tan Daybook for my book.  I just have to edit the photos a little before posting.
